Modi hails NDA victory; says the new decade would belong to Bihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday thanked the people of Bihar for voting for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) again. In a series of tweet, PM Modi said the people of Bihar have made it clear that development is their only aspiration and priority

PM’s tweet came after Home Minister Amit Shah declared victory in Bihar for the BJP-led NDA. The ruling coalition won 125 seats in the 243-member state assembly against RJD, who secured 110 for themselves.

The counting for the last few round continued till late night due to coronavirus protocol and NDA reached the majority mark after 3 am. “Youth of Bihar has made it clear that the new decade will be of Bihar and for self-reliant Bihar. I assure every citizen of Bihar that the NDA government will work with full dedication for the balanced development of every person, every region.” Modi said in a tweet late Tuesday night.

Modi also said that Bihar taught the first lesson of democracy to the world and today again it has shown how democracy is strengthened.

PM Modi also thanked NDA workers for their contribution and efforts in helping the party win

“With the blessings of the people, democracy has once again won in Bihar. The determination and dedication with which all NDA workers have worked are awe-inspiring. I congratulate the workers and express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Bihar,” he said.
