Indian Air Force commemorates its 88th anniversary on Thursday and tributes and best wishes are in the air from country’s best to common citizens.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a video message, praised the grown stature of Indian Air Force and said salute to “the courage, valour and might of the IAF personnel who sacrifice their lives to protect crores of citizens of the country.

General MM Naravane, chief of army staff, also conveyed his best wishes to the IAF with the “touch the sky with glory” tweet.
While defence minister Rajnath Singh lauded the IAF “as a lethal and formidable force to reckon with”: union home minister Amit Singh praised the courage and determination of IAF’s personnel.
