Call it daredevilry, or call it absolutely foolish, four persons put Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Varanasi office online for sale on Olx. After taking some pictures of the building where Modi’s office is located, they put it for sale online for Rs 7.5 crores. The UP police have now arrested all the four and removed the pictures.
According to Varanasi Senior Superintendent of Police Amit Pathak: “An FIR has been registered in Bhelupur police station. We are investigating the case.” It is not clear so far as to how and why they put advertisement online for sale of the building. The ad described Modi’s office in Jawahar Nagar colony as a villa with a carpet area of 6,500 square feet having four rooms and four bathrooms.
In November-end, Modi had visited Varanasi to witness Dev Deepawali there. On Saturday (today), he will deliver keynote address at the Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Assocham). He is scheduled to present “ASSOCHAM Enterprise if the Century Award” to Ratan Tata, who will receive it on behalf of the Tata Group.
