Washington Post first accused former president Donald Trump of pressurising an election investigation official two months ago. Now it says its story was wrong!
The Left propagandist newspaper had quoted “anonymous sources” in claiming that Trump had asked a top election investigator Frances Watson to “find the fraud” and that she could be a “national hero” if she did so. Washington Post claimed it was meddling with election results and pressurising investigation officials. Other Left-Liberal media houses, such as CNN, Fox, ABC and NBC news were quick to latch on to that story.
Now the full call recording between Trump and Frances has been published by the Wall Street Journal which shows the claim of Washington Post to be wrong. Washington Post has now clarified: “The recording revealed that the Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source.”
Trump, the former US president, who had lost to Joe Biden by a slim margin of 12,000 votes, had told Watson to scrutinise the mail-in ballots in Fulton County in Georgia. Trump has maintained that he lost the elections due to widespread voter fraud.
