Indian Under-19 captain Yash Dhull already looks a polished diamond and his elevation to the seniors’ rank should come sooner than later.
Dhull struck a stunning century to sink Australia in the semi-finals of the Under-19 World Cup in Antigua and some of his strokes, like this one below, appear too stunning in its execution.
What’s more former England captain Michael Vaughan, not known for his praise of Indian cricket, has termed Dhull “exceptional.”
In all Dhull hit 10 fours and two sixes during his classy knock which came after India had lost two early wickets. He was run out on 110.
India will meet England in the finals on Saturday.
This is India’s fourth straight entry into the finals of the Under-19 world cups.
