Cong. fears ‘WikiLeaks’ of hacked accounts

First it was the twitter handle of Rahul Gandhi which was hacked on Wednesday.

The next morning, the official handle of the Indian National Congress was compromised.

Jittery and panicking, the Congress party lost little time in deactivating around 200 email accounts.

The Congress has officially confirmed their official server has been accessed and all links to emails from two email servers have been compromised.

This was done in a bid, according to sources, to stop whistle-blower websites such as Wikileaks, from washing their dirty linens in public.

The chilling reality hit Congress hard when the hacker of the group came up with this devastating tweet

“Coming up is a full dump of inc.in Congress emails, stay tuned for Christmas special. We have enough info to drop your party down to shreds.”

This tweet was made, you guessed it right, on Congress handle. The hacker of the group didn’t stop here after a police complaint was filed against the hacking of Rahul Gandhi’s handle.

“We got them keys keys keys. You really want to lodge a complaint, huh?”

According to Twitter India, several attempts to hack Congress’ official account on Twitter as well as other Congress leaders were made in a matter of few hours. So much so that the official handle of Congress, @INCIndia, had to be briefly deactivated as well.

Randeep Surjewala, Media Cell Chief of the Congress party, has already stated that the twitter accounts of other Congress leaders too have been hacked.

He further added that the accounts had been hacked into with a “malicious intention.”

Surjewala said that email addresses of these accounts have also been targeted.

It is learnt that Congress leaders and workers have been alerted to ramp up the security of their accounts.
